About J B Renovations
J B Renovations is an independent UK building practice. We renovate, extend and fit out homes and commercial premises, working directly with the people who own and use them.
What We Do
J B Renovations takes on renovation work of every size, from a single bathroom to a whole-house refurbishment. Our day-to-day work covers kitchens and bathrooms, structural alterations such as rear extensions, chimney and brickwork repairs, studwork and plastering, floor screeding and tiling, carpentry and joinery, and outdoor projects including decking, pergolas and stone walling.
We also carry out commercial fit-outs, including work on a hair salon where lighting, electrical points and finishes all had to be planned around the daily operation of the business.
Who We Work With
Most of our clients are homeowners planning a renovation they intend to live in for years, and who want one point of contact rather than a chain of subcontractors. We also work with landlords updating rental property, business owners refitting commercial premises, and property owners improving their outdoor space.
Projects are based in the UK, and we are happy to talk through plans at any stage, whether you have full drawings in place or just an idea and a photograph.
How We Work
Every project starts with a conversation and a site visit. We look at what is there, talk through what you want, and explain what the work involves in plain terms, including anything that needs building control sign-off. You receive a written quote that sets out the scope, and we agree a programme before work starts.
On site we keep the space as tidy and usable as possible, protect what stays, and keep you updated as the job progresses, so there are no surprises at the end.
Who Builds It
J B Renovations is an independently run UK building firm. The person who prices your project is the person who runs it on site, from the first day of strip-out through to handover. Decisions get made quickly, details get agreed face to face, and the standard of finish is someone's own responsibility rather than a promise passed down a chain.
We take on a limited number of projects at a time so that each one gets proper attention from the builder who started it.
